(More customer reviews)I bought this item (GARMIN 010-11114-00 City Navigator Southeast Asia NT) in July of 2008 for travel in Thailand and Malaysia. Let's just say that I was driving on roads/streets/highways that doesn't even exist on this map. I don't mean traveling on a "newly" built roads/streets/highways. I mean the roads/streets/highways existed 10 to 15 years ago. Some existed decades ago!!! And some doesn't even exist anymore. I once set a destination for a well known seafood restaurant and the map took me to a dead-ended street and to cross the water to get to the restaurant. And no the roadway was not flooded!!! And how do I know about these existent you might ask. Well, I don't. But my family that lives there does. The information and detail in this map need to be updated. Don't waste your money on this product until Garmin update it. Currently, this is version 3.
Another thing, the English translation of the local names will have you pee in your pants from laughing so hard. Have you ever heard of Tinglish? Thai+English=Tinglish
Maybe you should buy this product for the laughs it generate and new and exciting adventure that await you when you're in a hurry to get to your destination.
Best regard,
Steve
